The SmartPath website supports two different setups in Google Analytics: use our Automatic Tracking where we send the ASC event names or use your own GTM container to deploy your own analytics tags.
Automatic Tracking (Recommended): Most dealerships have requested GA4 metrics to show customer interactions with their SmartPath website. The Toyota Push Model has all the assigned event names pre-built. The dealership provides their Google Analytics Measurement ID and we send tracking data to your Google dashboard.
GTM Container (DIY): We place a dealership’s GTM container on your SmartPath pages and the dealership is responsible for implementing and customizing Google Tag Manager (GTM) based on their specific digital needs. This customization is typically managed at the dealer level or by a dealer agency partner. There is also potential to leverage scalable GTM JavaScript solutions that support widely used functionalities, such as identity resolution and social media event tracking.
The Monogram website supports two different setups in Google Analytics: use our Automatic Tracking where we send the ASC event names or use your own GTM container to deploy your own analytics tags.

With Call Recording, Transcription, AI Analysis, and Call Tagging, users can enablemore advanced ASC Sales, Service, Parts, and Appointment events for enhanced reporting and campaign optimization in GA4.
The Marchex Marketing Edge GA4 integration is built with customizability in mind. As a result, the current feature set requires an initial mapping for the ASC schema, with the ability to easily copy those settings to other configurations. This allows the configuration to remain flexible as the ASC spec continues to develop. Marketing Edge also supports bulk management via API. Marchex plans to offer an ASC Default mapping option to simplify setup once the ASC spec is more solidified.
Each GA4 Configuration in Marketing Edge can have its own mapping schema and each campaign supports the ability to send events to up to 10 GA4 properties per call. The Measurement ID and Secret are required as part of the configuration setup for a GA4 property.
ActivEngage utilizes the GA4 Measurement Protocol to deliver submission-based events. In order to fully support all ASC events, clients will need to provide the Measurement Protocol API Secret for each of their Measurement IDs.
The product successfully tracks all major ASC events; however, a few minor call-to-actions and parameters are not yet being transmitted. These issues are included in the company’s roadmap for resolution.
